Smoke was seen billowing from the building on Borough Road
A fire has ripped through a building in Wirral and people are being asking to avoid the area.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service rushed to Borough Road, near Oxton at around 8.37pm on Monday, May 30, following reports of a fire. Once four fire engines arrived at the scene just three minutes later they found a single storey building with smoke billowing from it.
Several firefighters had to use an angle grinder to break into the property, which is 20m by 30m. Crews are now working to extinguish the flames inside.

"Four fire engines are in attendance. Nearby residents and businesses should keep windows and doors closed due to smoke from the fire.
