THREE hooded and masked youths were filmed attempting to break a bike lock using an angle grinder on a busy street in Greenwich.

A video that was posted on Twitter shows a cyclist trying to cut through a bike lock that was attached to a metal pole by using a saw in broad daylight, while the other two watched.

The incident reportedly took place on March 26 at 4pm on King William Walk, according to the video posted by London and UK Street News (@CrimeLdn) on Twitter.

The three were shortly after interrupted by a horn blare from a vehicle as they also noticed they were being filmed during the act.

The News Shopper has contacted the Met Police for further information regarding the theft.
