If you saw our last video on making a futuristic scooter, you might be longing for more. Well, as it turns out, that amazing scooter can be upgraded to make it even more awesome - into a futuristic motor trike! Check out this guide to find out how.  

As you can imagine, you'll need some tools and materials before you get started.

With all your gear in hand, it is time to get on with this great little build.

First of all, this project builds on a previous one where an older scooter was made into the starting "futuristic scooter" seen in the video. If you haven't already watched that tutorial, you can check it out here. 

For anyone wanted to simply mod an old scooter with quad front wheels, you can pick it up from here. Depending on your scooter and quad, set them up side by side and plan on how you will remove and add the quads front wheels to the scooter. 

With that done, you can begin to remove the front wheel(s) from both the scooter and quad. You'll need a variety of tools to do so and be careful not to unduly damage either. You may need to angle grind certain parts of the quad frame to remove the parts in one piece. 

With the parts now isolated, you can now begin the modification process. Cut down the quad wheels as needed by trimming parts of the frame not needed. 

Using other scrap parts and steel tubing, rig up a method of mounting the quad wheels to the front of the scooter. This will likely require a bit of metalworking and welding, etc. The design will depend entirely on your scooter's bodywork design.

With that done, mount your quad wheels to the front of the scooter and rig up the suspension to the scooter body as needed. Once mounted, add in some reinforcement bars, etc as needed. 

With the wheels mounted and reinforced at the front of the scooter, the next step is to connect the quad wheel steering to that of the scooter. 

This will likely require you to make some form of a custom connector between the two systems. Weld, bolt, etc, as needed. Test the action and adjust, modify as needed. 

With that done, the main trike conversion is basically complete. Dismantle, clean, and spray paint as needed and reattach to the front of the scooter once dry. Add the tires and you are done. 

Next, take an old wiper motor and blade, and plan how to connect it to the front of the scooter. Cut away the bodywork and make other modifications as needed to fit the assembly into place. 

Depending on the design, you may also need to create some other modifications pieces to make the wiper work. 

Mount and connect the wiper to the front of the scooter and connect any wiring to the main scooter electrical system too. Add and connect the wiper fluid tank and tubing system as needed too. 

With the main parts now added, you can go ahead and make the trike look pretty. Add things like mudguards around the front wheels, and other decorative features to the front like grills, etc. 

With that, your futuristic motor trike is now basically complete. Now just turn on the engine and take it for a spin.
