Professional Tool Reviews for Pros
Joining the existing MX FUEL Backpack Concrete Vibrator in the Milwaukee line of mason’s tools, the M18 FUEL Concrete Pencil Vibrator offers a compact, handheld solution to concrete consolidation. This tool looks especially helpful when working in tighter spaces where a backpack might prove too bulky.
The new pencil vibrator generates up to a 1.8 peak HP which Milwaukee claims delivers up to three times more power than comparable cordless products. That means they plan to take on the Makita 18V XRV02 and the DeWalt DCE531 among others.
The brushless motor on both the 4-ft (2910) and the 8-ft (2911) delivers continuous maximum power with 12,500 VPM. This Pencil Vibrator uses a 1″ square head and lets users consolidate up to 20 cubic yards of concrete per charge when using a High Output 6Ah battery pack. That equates to a 6-inch slab roughly 30 x 35 feet in size…or ten light pole bases.
Milwaukee should have this tool ready early in 2022 and pricing ranges from $399 for the 4-foot model ($529 for the kit) and $449 for the 8-foot model (and $579 for the kit). The tool comes with a 5-year warranty.
