Rotary tools are incredibly helpful for a variety of tasks and projects, but particularly so when it comes to hobbies and crafts. That’s why Ryobi has released its line of 18V One+ Rotary Tools. Not only do these tools tackle smaller detail work, but running on the 18V battery platform brings cordless convenience to your work.
Ryobi designed the 18V One+ HP Brushless Rotary Tool to live up to professional expectations with longer runtime and 2x more power under load. For grinding and sanding applications, Ryobi promises that this rotary tool will power through without slowing down.
It features a variable speed dial that lets you set your speed anywhere between 1,000 to 25,000 rpm. Ryobi has constructed the handpiece from a high-grade aluminum. The Quick Change collet provides fast and easy accessory changes, and integrated hanging keyholes on the unit let you mount it to the wall.

The Ryobi Precision Craft Rotary Tool features five variable speed settings, and it comes with the Quick-Change Collet that appears on all of the rotary tools in the line. It includes 15 accessories which store away conveniently in the base’s onboard storage bay.
While not a rotary tool itself, the Ryobi 18V One+ Magnifying LED Clamp Light could really help out in rotary tool applications that call for an attention to detail. It’s ideally suited for technicians, inspectors, collectors, hobbyists, crafters, readers, and more.
This light and magnifying glass combo produces up to 500 lumens of LED light and a 3.5″- wide lens that can be set up in just about any workspace. It features a clamping base that can grip any rounded or flat surface up to 1-3/4″ thick. the acrylic lens provides distortion-free 2.25x magnification with 5x spot magnification for closer inspection.
The Ryobi LED Clamp Light features two brightness settings. Working with a 4.0Ah battery and running on the low, 250-lumen setting, you’ll get around 20 hours of runtime on a charge. A 16″ flexible neck attached to a rotating base lets you bring your light and magnification to your work easily.
While we’re still waiting to hear when the line of Ryobi 18V Rotary Tools should hit the shelves of your local Home Depot and online, we expect them soon.
