NEWS... BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
A man whose penis became stuck in a ring spanner required the assistance of firefighters this week, who used an angle grinder to remove the tool.
The man, who is from Tweed Heads in Australia, had been admitted to hospital after he was unable to free his penis because of swelling.
Instead, he had to watch on as firefighters used a tiny, air-operated angle grinder to remove the spanner.
Senior firefighter Peter Sutherland told The Courier Mail this type of call was not uncommon.
‘It’s really dangerous because inevitably people leave it too long to come see us because they are embarrassed, or say my wife said to put butter on it, sleep on it and it will go down,’ he said.
